Steve Kokensparger is a compassionate lawyer who helps good people get through 
bad times during family crisis by protecting their rights in divorce, adoption, and 
high conflict custody litigation.  Often, Steve's cases involve non-parent custody 
actions and child custody cases involving alcohol and drug abuse. He works 
tirelessly to resolve complex legal issues and achieve the short and long term
goals of his clients.

Professional Affiliations
 
Steve has been a panelist on the National Child Endangerment Panel for the MADD National Office funded by the U.S. Justice Department in Washington DC.  He is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Family Law Specialist, and is an active member in the American, Ohio State, and Columbus Bar Associations.

 

Before opening his own office, he practiced with Abroms & Cleary and later the Solove Law Office representing clients in domestic, juvenile, appellate, victims of crime, personal injury, criminal, business and civil litigation proceedings.  He was also a staff attorney with the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division.
 
Education

He earned his Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University College of Law 1994 and was admitted to the Bar that same year.  He graduated from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio with a BA, Summa Cum Laude, in 1991.

He has served as a legal and judicial intern while attending law school for, the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division, and Public Defender's Office. He also served with the Federal Communications Commission, Mass Media Bureau, Washington D.C.
